About Me

This blog was all about my running. At least that’s what I intended it to be when I started it a few years ago. But, like many other things I intend to do, it fell by the wayside. That’s okay, though. My life’s strategy is to throw 1000 things at the wall and see what sticks. I’ve actually been able to accomplish quite a bit that way.

Anyway, about me: I’m a 40 year old, happily married, Mormon mom of four beautiful daughters. Stop rolling your eyes, though. My life has been anything but typical. I like to say I’ve lived life backwards. I started my family, and then I went to college. I got a degree in exercise science, then I got a degree in nutrition, then I completed a dietetic internship and passed the registration exam to become a dietitian. Now at 40, I am finally educated and credentialed and ready to embark on a career when the opportunity presents itself. I’ve had lots of changes through the years, but three things have always been steady: my faith, my family, and my running. So, this blog will still be about running. I can’t talk about my life without talking about running. But it will also be about the rest of my life…my thoughts, my goals, my never-ending pursuit of my best physical and spiritual health. I love running, reading, cooking, and traveling. I don’t watch much TV, but I do love Monk. There won’t be many craft posts, as I am one of the least crafty Mormon women in the world. But, I might post an occasional healthy meal idea. If anyone reads my blog, great. If no one reads it, that’s fine, too. I’m writing mostly for me.
